This year’s Doors Open Denver theme is “City Beautiful, Then and Now.” City Beautiful was an architectural movement that promoted urban beautification. It inspired architects to improve the quality of life and uplift the human spirit. Denver Arts & Venues, the Denver Architectural Foundation, and Historic Denver invite the public to photograph their favorite Denver sites and submit their images to the fifth annual Doors Open Denver Photography Contest. Enter your photos in three categories: interiors, exteriors and building details. All entries will be reviewed by a panel of judges. In addition to the judges’ picks, a People’s Choice winner will be selected based on the public’s ratings on the photography contest website. The deadline for entries is Sunday, April 28th, and public voting will continue through Sunday, May 5th, 2013. Winners will receive fabulous enlargements of their winning photographs from our sponsor Mike's Camera, and the Grand Prize winner will receive a Sony NEX-6 Camera package with two lenses, 16-50mm and 55-210mm, a value of $1,349.98.
