The contest is now closed and the judges are making their decisions. On July 27th, we'll announce your People's Choice winner and runner-up, as well as the judges selections for winners and runner-ups for Interior, Exterior, Building Details and People & Architecture categories. The photographs you see posted have been taken and entered by local residents and visitors showing their favorite Denver architectures. Many of the photos were taken during the April Doors Open Denver event.

Doors Open Denver is a free annual celebration of Denverʼs built environment, architecture and design. Doors Open Denver 2010's theme is Adaptive Re-use / Denver Re-Do: Buildings with a Second Life. More than 80 sites are open free for the public to explore over the event weekend. Saturday, April 17th and Sunday, April 18th 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

I read the history of this old building and was intrigued. C.S. Morey Mercantile Co. was really the Walmart of its day. In this photo I can almost picture Mr. Morey looking out this window door from his office and watching the hustle of the horse and buggies in the streets and Union Station.
