Congratulations to the Winners and Runners Up in the 2010 Doors Open Denver Photography Contest. A special thanks to our judges for their work in selecting winning photographs in the Exterior, Interior, Building Details and People & Architecture categories - and thanks to all of you who voted to select the winning People's Choice photographs.

The photographs posted were taken and entered by local residents and visitors showing their favorite Denver architecture. Many of the photos were taken during the April Doors Open Denver event.

Doors Open Denver is a free annual celebration of Denverʼs built environment, architecture and design. Doors Open Denver 2010's theme is Adaptive Re-use / Denver Re-Do: Buildings with a Second Life. More than 80 sites are open free for the public to explore over the event weekend. Saturday, April 17th and Sunday, April 18th 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

This is a young girl enjoying the old desk inside the Tattered Cover. She said how she wished she could use a desk like this in school today. And she also wondered what about all the kids that sat at this desk through time learning how to read and write.

One has to go to the top of the clocktower to see the clock, as well as the views. And as a photographer, it's just too cool to not take a bunch of photos. When this curious fellow popped his head into the photo as I stood a floor above, I couldn't resist letting him be a part of the moment.
